Mr. Johnson majored in Journalism and Communications at the University of Oregon from 1994 to 1997, and attended the Craig James Broadcast School in 2000. Mr. Johnson was a two-sport athlete at the University of Oregon, excelling in both football and track, and winning numerous awards and championships during his college athletic career. As an Olympic-caliber sprinter, Johnson won the Pac-10 Championships in the 400 meter and defeated the legendary Carl Lewis in a 100-meter race at the Drake Relays in 1995. As a wide receiver in his senior year at Oregon, he was awarded multiple All-America awards and was the Offensive MVP of the 1997 Las Vegas Bowl. Johnson was the 42nd overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens in the 1998 NFL draft. While playing with the Ravens, Johnson earned a Super Bowl ring when the Ravens defeated the New York Giants 34-17 in Super Bowl XXXV. Besides the Ravens, Mr. Johnson played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Washington Redskins and the Canadian Football League’s Edmonton Eskimos and Toronto Argonauts. During his career as a professional athlete, Mr. Johnson assisted several charities and non-profit organizations in fundraising efforts. In 2003, Mr. Johnson interned with GOPAC, a political action committee designed to train candidates for grassroots-level campaigning. He has accepted several keynote speaking engagements and is a published writer, having recently co-authored an article for Worth Magazine. Mr. Johnson possesses a keen interest in business development and has a wide variety of business experience. The creator of two successful businesses, he has consulted in the private equity, oil and gas, mining, gaming, entertainment, and real estate industries.
